Compared to other magstripe card or paper-based systems, our unique technology provides merchants with a much easier, faster and more cost-effective way to implement and orchestrate customer loyalty programs… that really work! Our system allows merchants to read and "write" (encode) inexpensive magstripe cards which are printed with the merchant’s logo and custom graphics. The artwork is either supplied to us or can be created by our staff of card design specialists. We can also design and supply customized cardholders, beautiful presentation materials and other accessories. The GiftTran™ provides merchants the ability to quickly and easily add or subtract "frequent diner", "frequent shopper" or "frequent user" points to and from the card. For example, it only takes about three (3) seconds to increment/decrement point (and/or money) values on the card. There’s no remote, centralized database that has to be dialed up and communicated with frequently. The local database keeps track of all the card transactions, including demographics. If desired, the headquarters can poll it each night and management reports can be generated. Also, since the cards are read and rewritten to directly, there’s no database "lag" problems which occur when batching transactions to a centralized database. Plus, everything’s integrated into the merchant’s existing point-of-sale system!
